Black Queer Psychotherapist of the Bay
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a virtual private practice here in the greater Bay Area. I have been a therapist for 8 years and specialize in working with Mood challenges, anxiety and Complex trauma. My psychotherapy approach is a composition of Culture Centered Therapy, an approach that allows for the clinician to examine contextual factors that impact social-cultural conditions. Additionally Cognitive behavior therapy, an approach that supports with recognizing how thoughts shape behaviors. I hold humor, self expression, introspection and spirituality as the centerpiece of my therapeutic frame. In my comprehensive application to treatment; we will approach the relationship as a delicate dance aiding you to your pathway of inner wisdom and ultimately your liberation.

I have a rich history of serving vulnerable populations ranging from toddlers, children, adolescents and adults. I have seven years of working with foster care youth, trans youth, and system impacted multicultural families. I have dedicated my career to working with Black & Brown youth, adults and families who have wrestled with managing complex intersectionalities.

Aside from my telehealth private practice, I work as a Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant and LMFT affiliate with the city and county of San Francisco. Additionally I work as a consultant offering medical institutions comprehensive strategies in recognizing the signs and symptoms of suicidal ideation and intent.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz. I received my Masters of Arts In Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies with an emphasis in Community Mental Health Counseling. I have gained my clinical experience in various settings, including Community Based and Non-Profit Organizations, medical clinics, dual diagnosis rehab center, outpatient drug treatment facilities, residential group homes, SF unified school district and Alameda Unified. I treated people dealing with a number of concerns, including, but not limited to Bipolar Disorder, Body image, PTSD, Anxiety, Personality disorders, Probation, financial instabilities, eating disorders, relationship conflicts and others.
Born in the south raised in the Bay, I deeply believe in the healing powers of community. As a Queer Black professional who live within Cultural Margins, I am committed to the well being of the Black and POC LGBT collective.
